One trained acupuncturist or acu-detox specialist can comfortably treat 25 people in an hour. Beyond this, the number of treatments that can be provided are limited only by the number of chairs available. There have been jail settings where as many as 200 people were successfully treated in an hour. If space does not permit, the capacity may be expanded by extending the clinic time. Some acupuncture clinics are open twice-daily for three or more hours.
